description: Send the customer an SMS after a successful payment, with a receipt, ticket or booking number.

After a payment succeeds, you can send the payer one more message through MoMo: a receipt number, a ticket id, a booking code. MoMo sends it by SMS (or email, depending on how they paid).

- Only for `successful` collections made with a payment request.
- Up to 160 characters. Unsupported symbols are removed.
- `language` (optional) is an ISO 639 code MTN uses to pick a message template.
- MTN only allows it within a window after the payment, and limits repeats.

| Message | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `notifications can only be sent for successful payments` | The payment hasn't succeeded. |
| `the window for sending a notification for this payment has passed` | Too late for this payment. |
| `too many notifications for this payment, try again later` | Slow down. |

Admins can send one from **Transactions** too: open a successful payment and choose **Message payer**.
